Coffee Shops of Orange County

One of my favorite things to do is explore and hang in coffee shops, but I don’t even like coffee! I am a tea lover though and have some coffee drinks I do enjoy sips of every now and then. I have a little list of some coffee shops in orange county where I enjoy meeting with friends, getting work done, and sipping on a matcha latte or chai. See below~

Portola: The Pacific City location has great seating options and such a fun seasonal drink menu as well as tasty GF/Vegan pastries. I love their matcha lattes, but ask for no added sweetener if you’re not trying to get any extra sugars in there. They also make one of my favorite chai lattes. Overall a great place to get some work done, catch up with friends and family, as well as take on the go for a nice beach stroll.

Kit: Great aesthetic with a tasty avocado toast menu. This is probably my favorite place to come for a matcha latte and the outdoor seating is perfect for a nice sunny day.

Neat: Who doesn’t love Neat and all the lovely workers?! Fun and delicious menu options with a wide variety of seating. Also very aesthetically pleasing and rich in pastries.

Sidecar: Basically my second home, but I love their matcha and chai equally and can never decide which to choose. They also have a great hot tea selection and if you’re looking a tasty coffee try an almond milk honey cinnamon latte.

Alta: Cutest cafe with all the goods. I prefer to just get hot tea here, but if you’re looking for a sweet chai then the vanilla chai latte is your new BFF. Indoor and outdoor seating and a great place to work and grab a meal with a friend.

Hola Adios: This spot is newer to Costa Mesa, but it brings a super inviting atmosphere. The decor is cute and fun and there’s a good amount of space to post up for a couple hours and get some work done. I love their coconut milk matcha lattes~also one of the only places in OC i’ve found that serves coconut milk!!

Coffee Nature: This became a favorite during the pandemic! They have a location in Costa mesa and a new shop in Huntington Beach(finally good coffee in HB)! I love their matcha lattes with almond milk-they’re good hot or iced! They also have some yummy food and such cute decor! I have yet to try their chai latte, but will report back when I do so.

Bear Coast Coffee: Located in San Clemente just across from the pier-you get a view with that caffeine beverage! I love their chai latte with almond milk and they sell my favorite treats: Meet the Source. Definitely a fun place to stop by when visiting down South.

Lion and Lamb: This has become one of my favorite spots I found in 2020. The employees are nice, the atmosphere is cute and fun, and the drinks are SO good! I love the pumpkin chai latte and iced matcha latte. They also have yummy gluten and dairy free treats! A great new spot.

Some other places I stop by every now and then:

Bad Coffee-sadly closed 2023 and I’ll forever be sad about it :/

Coffee Dose-I now go more frequently to their flagship store, its a whole vibe!

Daydream Coffee-great tea latte
